Authentic Flamenco Show

An hour of flamenco in a 17th-century palace in El Born, from the front row

Local Culture

Why We Love it

Palau Dalmases does nothing but flamenco — one properly good hour with cantaores, bailaores and guitarists from across Spain, not a dinner-and-show package.

Spellbound Images & Cut Outs - 36 copy.

The Experience

One hour of flamenco at Palau Dalmases, a 17th-century palace on Carrer de Montcada in El Born, from seats at the front of the stage with a drink in hand.

The theatre is given over to flamenco and nothing else, with artists drawn from across Spain: cantaores, bailaores, guitarists and other musicians moving between traditional styles and newer fusions. Wine, cava, sangria or a soft drink — pick one, it comes with the ticket.

My pick for travelers who want one properly good hour rather than a dinner-and-show package, and for anyone building an evening around it — there are four start times from 5:30 pm and no food included.
