Spellbound Leisure uses personal information to run our public website and private Lounge, reply to you, send communications you ask for, and plan or arrange travel you request. We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose it only to the platforms that help us operate and, when you ask us to plan or book travel, to the providers needed to deliver that service.

 

Optional cookies do not load where consent is required until you make a choice. You can change that choice at any time through Cookie settings.

 

This policy explains the details. It is not a substitute for the privacy notice of a hotel, cruise line, airline, tour operator, TravelJoy, or another provider that handles information under its own terms.

 

 

1. WHO THIS POLICY COVERS

 

This policy applies to Spellbound Leisure's public website at spellboundleisure.com, its editorial content, forms and newsletters, and the private Spellbound Lounge at thelounge.spellboundleisure.com (together, the Services). In this policy, Spellbound, we, us, and our mean Spellbound Leisure.

 

If you follow a link to or use a third-party service, that service's privacy notice also applies to its own handling of your information.

 

 

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

 

We collect only what is reasonably connected to running the Services, communicating with you, or providing travel services you request.

 

 

When you browse

Our systems and service providers may receive your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location, referring and exit pages, pages or features used, dates and times, error and security events, and cookie or consent choices.

 

 

When you contact us, subscribe, or create an account

We may collect your name, email address, phone number, message, newsletter preferences, account or Wix member identifier, sign-in method, and basic profile information. If you sign in with Google, Google may provide the account information you authorize for sign-in.

 

 

When you use the Lounge or Dossier

We may store the lists, boards, names, and travel items you save; links, images, and context attached to saved items; planning inputs such as destination, dates or month, duration, travelers, rooms, stops, and budget; and revision or update timestamps. If you use the Request Desk, we may also collect the subject of your request, travel window, check-in and check-out dates, adults and children, room or cabin count, notes, shortlist items, and the offer, property, or perk connected to the request.

 

 

When you ask us to plan or book travel

We or our booking platform may collect information reasonably needed to research, quote, reserve, and support your trip, including:

 

• identity and contact information;

• traveler names, dates of birth, addresses, passport or other travel-document details;

• itinerary, accommodation, transportation, dining, activity, loyalty-program, and room preferences;

• payment and transaction information;

• dietary, accessibility, mobility, medical, or other sensitive details you choose to provide because they are relevant to the trip; and

• communications, approvals, waivers, and trip records.

Booking information is collected through TravelJoy or another secure provider when appropriate. Please do not send passport images, payment-card details, or sensitive medical information through ordinary email unless we specifically instruct you to use a secure method.

 

If you give us information about another traveler, you confirm that you have permission to do so and will direct that person to this policy.

 

 

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

 

We use personal information to:

 

• provide, operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the public site and Lounge;

• create and administer member accounts and saved Dossiers;

• remember cookie and site choices;

• answer questions and provide requested recommendations;

• research, quote, arrange, manage, and support travel;

• process transactions and maintain business, tax, and booking records;

• send service messages and, when permitted, editorial or marketing communications;

• measure site and campaign performance with consent where required;

• prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents;

• comply with law, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal claims; and

• create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify an individual.

For people in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis depends on the activity: performance of a contract or steps you request before entering one; consent, including for optional cookies and marketing where required; compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, communicating with you, and protecting our business, balanced against your rights.

 

 

4. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

 

Cookies and related technologies help operate the Services and, if you allow them, help us understand and improve the experience.

 

• Essential: Security, navigation, account access, consent records, and core functions. These cannot be disabled through the banner.

• Functional: Optional features and remembered preferences.

• Analytics: Usage measurement, error detection, and experience improvement.

• Marketing: Campaign measurement and, where used, more relevant messaging.

Where consent is required, functional, analytics, and marketing technologies remain off until you affirmatively choose them. Accept all enables every available category. Decline non-essential keeps only essential technologies. Manage choices provides category controls. You can revisit or withdraw your choice through Cookie settings.

 

Blocking optional cookies may affect optional features but will not prevent ordinary access to the public editorial site. Browser settings can also remove or block cookies, although they may not replace a legally recognized consent choice.

 

 

5. WHEN WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

 

We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances.

 

 

Operating providers

We use providers that host, secure, support, or communicate for the Services, including:

 

• Wix, for the public website, forms, member identity, and site operations;

• Cloudflare, for Lounge hosting, delivery, security, and Dossier storage;

• Flodesk, for newsletter subscriptions and email communications;

• TravelJoy, for client intake, trip communications, proposals, approvals, invoices, and booking records; and

• authentication, email, analytics, payment, security, and professional-service providers used for the purposes described in this policy.

These providers process information for us under their terms and agreements. Some may also handle limited information for their own disclosed purposes. TravelJoy's own privacy notice applies when you use its forms or platform.

 

 

Travel providers

When you ask us to plan, quote, or book travel, we may disclose the details needed for that request to hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, ground transportation companies, tour and activity operators, destination management companies, insurance providers, payment processors, consortia or host-agency partners, and other travel suppliers. Those providers may act as independent controllers of the information they receive and apply their own privacy notices and retention rules.

 

 

Legal, safety, and business needs

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect a person, the Services, or our rights; investigate fraud or security issues; obtain professional advice; or complete a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

 

We do not use booking details, passport information, payment information, or health and accessibility information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

 

 

6. ADVERTISING CHOICES AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL

 

Spellbound does not sell personal information for money. Some state laws define certain disclosures through advertising or analytics technology as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. Where those laws apply, you may opt out through Cookie settings or the privacy control made available on the site. We also treat a legally recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request where required and technically applicable.

 

 

7. RETENTION

 

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including to operate an active account, maintain a Dossier, provide or support a trip, honor your choices, keep required tax and transaction records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or contractual obligations. Retention differs by record and provider. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless law permits or requires longer retention.

 

Travel suppliers and independent platforms determine their own retention periods under their privacy notices.

 

 

8. SECURITY

 

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. Our providers also maintain their own security programs. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use the secure collection method we provide for sensitive booking information and protect your account credentials.

 

 

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

 

Spellbound and several of our providers are based in or operate from the United States. Information may therefore be processed in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we and our providers use recognized transfer mechanisms or other safeguards.

 

 

10. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

 

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to appeal a refusal of a request. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

 

You may:

 

• change optional cookie choices through Cookie settings;

• unsubscribe from editorial or marketing email using the link in the message;

• update available account information through your member account; or

• submit a privacy request to hello@spellboundleisure.com.

Please state the right you want to exercise and the email associated with your account or request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable; we may verify the agent's authority and the consumer's identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some rights have exceptions, including records we must keep for legal, security, transaction, or active-service purposes.

 

People in the EEA or UK may also complain to their local data-protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address a concern first.

 

 

11. CHILDREN AND FAMILY TRAVEL

 

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and a child should not create an account or submit information directly. We may receive information about a child traveler from a parent or guardian when it is needed to plan or book family travel. The adult providing it must have authority to do so. If you believe a child submitted information directly without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and, where required, delete it.

 

 

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

 

We may update this policy as the Services, providers, or law change. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by law.
