Ibiza

Panoramic Tour & Ibiza Beaches

Dalt Vila on foot, then the length of the island by car — salt pans, flamingos and the northern bays

Sightseeing, Local Culture

Why We Love it

Ibiza's UNESCO listing covers both halves of this route — the walled castle town and the salt pans — and you get the island's length, not one corner of it.

Spellbound Images & Cut Outs - 36 copy.

The Experience

Five hours of Ibiza with a private guide and vehicle, starting on foot in the old town and ending at a tower on the north coast.

First the sloping alleys of the old quarter, then the cobbles up to Dalt Vila — the High Town, a walled city built around its castle — past the Contemporary Art Museum and out onto Plaza de Vila. The rest is by car. Las Salinas next, the historic heart of the island's salt industry, with the Church of San Jose and the flamingos that gather there. Then north to Portinatx Tower, and the bays of Cala Portinatx and Cala Xarraca below it.

Ibiza's UNESCO World Heritage listing covers both halves of that — the history and the ecosystems.

My pick for cruise passengers who want the length of the island in one afternoon rather than one corner of it, and for anyone who would rather see Dalt Vila and the salt pans than a beach club.
