Madrid

Private Tuk Tuk Tour of Madrid

Eighteen Madrid landmarks in two hours, from the back of a private tuk tuk

Sightseeing

Why We Love it

It's the day-one run — Cibeles, the Prado, Puerta de Alcalá and the Temple of Debod in one sweep, so you leave knowing what's worth going back to.

Spellbound Images & Cut Outs - 36 copy.

The Experience

Two hours through central Madrid in a private tuk tuk with an English-speaking driver-guide, starting and finishing at the same point beside the Royal Palace.

The route takes in eighteen landmarks: the Market of San Miguel, Cervantes House, the Lope de Vega Museum, Parliament, the Neptune and Cibeles fountains, the Prado, Los Jeronimos church, El Retiro palace and park, Puerta de Alcala, the Bank of Spain, Santa Ana Square, La Latina, San Francisco el Grande, Almudena Cathedral, the Royal Palace, the Sabatini Gardens and the Temple of Debod. All from the outside, with stops at the best spots to take a photo.

The itinerary can shift for street closures or demonstrations. There is no trunk on a tuk tuk, so the suitcase and the stroller stay behind, and in the colder months there are blankets.

My pick for a first day in Madrid, when you want the shape of the city before you commit to anything, and for families with children over two who want the sightseeing done in one short run.
