Cannes

Provence Wine Tour from Cannes

Three Provence estates in a day, with reds, whites and rosés at each

Food & Wine

Why We Love it

Three estates rather than one, and a guide who spends the day on how to taste and what to pair rather than just pouring.

Spellbound Images & Cut Outs - 36 copy.

The Experience

Eight and a half hours out of Cannes and inland into the Provence vineyards, with a wine guide and pick-up from a central point in town.

Three estates, each with its own character. Reds, whites and rosés at every one, plus a few things the guide holds back for later. Between stops you get the useful part — how to taste, how wine should be served, and what to put with what.

The vineyards sit between the Mediterranean and the Alps, across hills, valleys and rocky plateaus, under more than 300 days of sun a year. Entrance and tasting fees are covered, and so is the water. Lunch is yours, about €30.

My pick for travelers who want a Riviera day that isn't the beach, and for anyone who would rather learn how to taste than just be handed three glasses.
