Florence

Tuscany E-Bike and Wine Experience with Lunch

Six hours into Chianti by e-bike, with a winery lunch at the far end

Food & Wine, Adventure

Why We Love it

The day doesn't finish at the winery — you ride back to Florence and there's a second tasting waiting for you in the city.

Spellbound Images & Cut Outs - 36 copy.

The Experience

Six hours from Florence on an e-bike, starting at 9:30 am with a short test ride to get you comfortable, then out through the hills and vineyards toward Chianti with a guide who rides alongside you.

The far end of the ride is a traditional winery: how Chianti Classico is made, a guided tasting with local cheeses and cured meats, and then a full Tuscan lunch. You ride back to Florence through the same countryside.

Then a second tasting in the city, once the bikes are in. This is a real ride, though — you need some cycling behind you and a decent level of fitness, and no more than ten people go out with each guide.

My pick for couples and friends who would rather earn the wine than be driven to it, and for anyone who wants a day in Chianti that isn't spent in the back of a car.
