WHY WE LOVE IT:
The Bosphorus does the talking here. Ninety per cent of the rooms look straight down at it, the rooftop pool hangs over it, and Nobu — in the Michelin Guide two years running — puts it behind your dinner. Downstairs there is a proper Turkish hamam, and a couples' version of it. Dolmabahçe Palace is a walk away, the airport forty minutes in the other direction. The least stressful way to be in the middle of Istanbul.
